One Hot Ginger (hoy toddy)
This blend of bourbon, Grand Mariner, cayenne pepper and ginger mashes up the hot toddy with a classic juice bar cold remedy for a double-duty winter drink.
Ingredients
- 4 1/2 oz hot water
- 1 1/2 oz bourbon
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 oz ginger syrup (simple syrup cooked with thinly sliced ginger root)
- 3/4 oz Grand Marnier
- 2 dashes Angostura bitter
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- Garnish with orange twist
Preparation
Pour hot water, bourbon, lemon juice, ginger syrup, Grand Marnier and bitters into a mug. Add the cayenne pepper and stir. Express an orange twist over the mug and drop into the mug.
