Homemade cabbage soup with gluten free keto bread

Dice the onion to your preference.
If using a head of cabbage, instead of a slaw mix , use about 1/3 head of both green and red cabbage. Thinly slice or roughly chop, your choice.
Chop bacon into small pieces.
Chop you celery and carrots.
Thinly slice your bell peppers.
Finely dice the jalapeño. You need about 2 tbsp, (jalapeños in the jar work well and are convenient)
Cook your bacon first and set aside (I use the microwave ready bacon for this recipe).
Add water and bouillon to pot and bring to boil.
As water begins to heat you start adding your vegetables and bacon.
Once everything is in the pot add your seasonings.
Bring to boil then reduce temp and simmer. Stirring occasionally. Cook until cabbage and veggies are tender.
Taste test and add more seasoning if needed.
If serving with croutons, remember to only add one or two at a time or they will become mushy.
